New shelf!

Look at the fun new addition to the studio! I’ve had a great flat drying rack for wet panels, but I haven’t had great space in my studio to dry cradled panels during all those in between stages (gessoed, started, in between painting, waiting for varnish, etc). I was using cardboard boxes from the store stacked on top of each other, which was functional but ugly. I kept looking at bookshelves, but they had too much wasted space between the shelves. Finally, I got it—shoe shelves!! The perfect shallow height for all my small stuff and doesn’t take up a ton of space. I loved this particular metal shelf with the mesh (nothing can fall through), tilted angle (or the option to do horizontal if you ever change your mind) and lip on the end (so paintings don’t fall off). I love being able to see what I’m working on and think about it from across the studio. And let’s face it, much prettier than the cardboard 😂😂 Links in the stories if your studio needs one!
