Together WE lift

I love the beauty in the metaphor of getting on a ski lift with other humans—either loved ones or complete strangers—and ascending up a mountain together. I think so often life is hard down on the ground in the harsh bumps and cold edges, but when we take a minute and pull out of it and rise above it, we gain this beautiful perspective that we wouldn’t otherwise have. I love the idea of helping each other lift to those higher places. Yes, life can knock us down. But it’s better when we ascend together. And sometimes the understanding that we’re not alone and the opportunity of zooming out, looking up and seeing the vision of what beauty is ahead can give us hope and joy and remind us that we can make it through.
