#paintingsforsteph

In the studio today, working on my biggest painting yet. It's a picture my sister took, and I love this composition! If you're on Instagram and have a picture you think would make a fun painting, include me (@stephaniehockart) and the hashtag #paintingsforsteph and I'll paint as many of them as I can. It's been such a fun challenge to try and paint whatever people tag, even if it's not my normal subject matter. And I've loved seeing these windows into so many different worlds, all over the world. I don't know how long this project will last, but it's keeping me very intrigued right now. 

I love how art tells a story, and the stories are everywhere. And I love capturing those stories in big, colorful brush strokes. 

I have the best job in the world.
