First Base

We got to see our favorite baseball team (the Chicago Cubs)  play three games in person this year-- no small feat for us fans from Utah. We were so disappointed they came so close to the World Series and didn't make it, but man it was such a great season anyway. Our oldest son also played his first season of t-ball this fall and now all four of our kids are pretty obsessed with the game. Twice in the last two days I've caught different kids making baseball diamonds out of their lunches and using their apples or sandwiches to run the bases. Ha ha. Needless to say, I've had baseball on the mind for months and it was high time I created a painting about it.
