Carole

One of my favorite artists is this fabulous painter who lives in Park City named Carole Wade. I was lucky enough to take a workshop from her (where I painted this painting based on one of her reference photos) and it has informed so much about the artist I've become. She's the one who taught me to use complimentary colors in the underpainting to make the colors pop. I bumped into her last Friday at gallery stroll and she was just as gracious and lovely as ever. She reminded me that this career is a long, long road and not to get too stressed as I go along (especially during these years as I raise my children). I'm grateful for such amazing mentors and examples around me. They make me so much better.
