Children's religious art

I had the best conversation yesterday with @clairetollstrup.art and @sarahjanestudios about Christian art for children. So much of what's out there is so dark and brooding and full of high contrast and lots of shadows. When kids think of Jesus, they think of the one who created the sunshine and makes them feel warm and happy. I got choked up in church today as I quietly watched my five year old daughter, Lucy, draw this picture of what Jesus is to her. It moved me, as beautiful art is prone to do, and made me hope there will be more options in children's religious art in the future.
