At Peace

["At Peace" 8x10, sold] This is how I feel today after a whole weekend of listening to #ldsconf. It is one of my favorite religious holidays and my family enjoys disappearing from life for two days and celebrating with all of our own traditions (like homemade donuts to eat while we listen 🍩). My kids play bingo with colored marshmallows and listen for words they recognize from the speakers. I am always amazed at how every talk seems to be so specifically personal to my life at the moment. My soul fills with so much peace and hope and it gives me strength to keep going. My favorite message this time was Russell M. Nelson's, "We can be happy under every circumstance. The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives. When the focus of our lives is on God’s plan of salvation and Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what is happening—or not happening—in our lives."
