Beauty in Solitude

Here's the finished painting from the video the other day, "Beauty in Solitude." Years ago, I had a friend who found out I was an artist and wanted a painting. He wanted me to paint something about feeling peace in your solitude, even when the world around you is chaotic. I tried and tried, but kept hating everything I created and painting over it. I attempted for months, but nothing came together (I was a pretty blocked artist back then). Eventually, he was moving away, and I didn't have anything, so we scrapped the project.  I've always felt bad about that. But I can't adequately express how exciting it is now to finally be able to paint the way I've wanted to paint all along.
