Feeding the Soul

I’m interrupting my love stories project to tell you about a show I’m in tonight! 20 artists each painted a 20x20 inch painting for a 2020 show at Alpine Art Gallery. Come see it tonight from 6-9:00 pm! This is my piece, titled “Feeding the Soul,” and here’s what I wrote about it, “There is so much about being a grown up that’s heavy. Life is often very full of responsibilities and work and emotional burdens that take a lot of energy. Lately, I’ve been prioritizing the things I do to feed my soul. I can’t give to anyone else when I’m running on empty, but as I make time to do the things to fill me up, I find I bring my best self to every other part of my life. Connection with people I love is always something that feeds my soul.” (Also that wonderful lady on the far right in the black and white top might be one of my favorite figures I’ve ever painted. I love her gestures and passion). See you tonight!
