playing

one of the things I’ve been working on over this quarantine is making more time to just play in my studio. I usually work from project to project and deadline to deadline and don’t make time to explore. This season has reminded me how important it is to try new styles and techniques, to play with lots of ideas, to have fun painting things just for the joy of it. Another great artist said we should have PILES of “starts” in our studio and I haven’t been able to get that idea out of my head. What if we didn’t worry about everything being perfectly finished? What if we had fun and learned from start after start? I had fun playing with this one today 💕
