Picking Raspberries

Just finished this commission, “Picking Raspberries” for a collector (and also learned the word raspberries has a P in it 🤷🏻‍♀️). This is the sweetest tribute to a mother who raised nine kids and could often be found outside working in her garden or having a water fight with said kids 💦 . My collector wanted to capture her by herself doing a very normal, typical thing and I love that so much. The things people will remember and love us for are probably not the highlight moments from our life, but rather the ordinary small things we do over and over. There’s such a beauty and familiarity in seeing that, like the feeling of coming home ❤️❤️
