I paint

I paint because it feeds my soul.
I paint because I want to tell stories.
I paint because I feel pulled to it and miss it when I’m not painting.
I paint because I love the way light hits something and I want to use a brush to show it.
I paint so I can put my voice in the world.
I paint because my husband says I’m happier when I do.
I paint because I love to learn, and studying, practicing and getting better is so satisfying.
I paint because the income helps my family do great things and lets me help others.
I paint because I love seeing something go from blank to beautiful.
I paint because I love the accomplishment of finished projects.
I paint because I love how paintings bring joy to others.
I paint because I love to work hard.
I paint because art has brought so many good people to my life.
I paint because I’m endlessly fascinated with mixing colors.
I paint because my brain creates paintings everywhere I look and I can’t get them out of my head until they’re painted.
