Oops

One time my husband and I were driving with our kids to California. We figured we’d stop in Vegas for the night (to break up the drive from Salt Lake), but also figured we’d wait and book a room last minute so we could get a deal. As we were driving down, we learned that there was a presidential debate happening in Vegas that night and every room was booked! I frantically was on my phone as we were driving looking for anywhere we could sleep our family of six for a night that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. I found a place! But later, as we pulled up to the hotel, we realized this wasn’t quite as family friendly as we hoped 😳 I’ll never forget my four innocent children rolling their Star Wars luggage down the hall and me praying they weren’t looking at the suggestive art on the walls or machines selling adult toys 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ My husband and I still laugh to this day about our unfortunate night there (please don’t touch anything 🙅🏻‍♀️). But also, vacations often bring out the best stories and future inside jokes that you laugh about for years to come. We’re already dreaming about all the vacations we want to take when the world is safe again 🚕✈️🗽🏝Where do you want to go next?
