LeBarons

This started as a memory. She loved this old diner in her hometown that was right by her house. She would wait for the bus every morning in that front little vestibule, her grandparents lived under those big Cottonwood trees. It’s amazing how places can shape us—the settings can stay in our souls. I feel like old walls hold little pieces of all the history they’ve watched, the stories of the people who have come and gone. This building isn’t there anymore, but through old photos we were able to put together this wonderful place the way it sits in her memory (we could even edit out the newer buildings that went in behind it). This is what I love about painting—the way it tells our stories. My collector was so happy and now it’s the first thing she sees when she walks in the door—a piece of her history she’s carrying into her future. I love my job ❤️❤️ [“LeBarons” 36x48, sold]
