Annie

#artforannieblake My dear friend and fellow artist, @anniekblake recently found out she has stage four pancreatic cancer. As an art community, we’re shocked and devastated by this sudden news. Annie is only 36 and has a husband and two beautiful children. She also is such a gifted artist and sees the world in such a beautiful way. Her words move me every time and invite me to rise up and be a better human. Her art hangs on the walls of my home and I love the different ways it moves me as I stare at it.

I was at a big art show years ago and really nervous about it, since it was one of my first. I got my booth all set up and was relieved to look over and see that they had assigned Annie the booth right next to me. I felt so much better. Even if no one bought any paintings, at least Annie and I would have each other. We laughed so hard the whole time and sure enough she calmed all my nerves and made the experience so much better. Annie and I have been friends for years and enjoyed so many thought provoking conversations and so many more laughs. I love her and want to help her any way I can.

I am auctioning off this painting and donating 100% of the proceeds to Annie. The painting is 9x12 inches on a two inch deep cradled panel.
