Light

I’m often struck watching the way light hits my world and the dance between light and shadow, the shapes they both make. It’s my job, as an artist, to notice these things—to stop and see form and then make something beautiful out of it. These are the tools that usually help me create, but today I loved how beautiful they looked on their own.

I was talking to a friend today about giving ourselves grace. We talked about the turmoils still surrounding us and the effect they have on our emotional, mental, physical, professional and other states. It’s okay to still feel it all, cause we’re still IN it all. But I believe hope is on the horizon. I believe better days are coming.

We might feel like these beat up tools sometimes, but the light is still enveloping us. There is more light than shadow. We still have the ability to create beautiful things, and we still ARE beautiful things. Have hope. And give yourselves loads of grace ❤️
