updated snowy village 🌲

My grandparents lived on the side of a mountain with beautiful views across the whole valley. They installed a big bay window and every christmas they’d fill it with a whole miniature village. All the houses were lined up and lit up and there was an ice skating pond and fake snow… it was magic. As a kid, I’d spend hours looking at it, imagining the lives of the little carolers or bundled customers leaving the store with arms full of packages.

I painted these cute little row houses as a modern twist on a favorite tradition—an updated snowy village. And while they may not look the same as my grandparents’ set, the coziness and magic of being surrounded by people you love during the holidays is still in full glory ❤️💛💙
