Instrument

I titled this painting “Instrument” because I’ve been so moved by the work of @beauty_redefined and their message that our bodies are instruments to use and not just ornaments to look at. This is such a powerful message and life-changing in a world that is hyper focused on telling us we need to “fix” the way our bodies look (especially women). Instead, what if we forgot all of that and focused on what we want our bodies to DO? How can my body be an instrument to do the things I want to do with my life? How can I spend my energy making it a stronger instrument (increasing my learning, strengthening my talents, giving myself mental and emotional grace) so that my body serves me instead of the other way around?
