We Carry On

I am inspired by human resilience. Most of life is not ideal, most people wish they could change a number of things about their current situations. Our humanity tests us daily. But it also unites us, and as I watch the people around me, I see how the good continues to persevere. People with nothing offer what they have to share. People who are tired find it in themselves to keep caring and serving for someone else. People use their talents to bring light into dark spaces, beauty in the messes. People hold hands and cry together, when words aren’t enough and the load is heavy. People listen and love and laugh and work, and no matter how long or hard the journey, they continue to show up. I believe in you and me and us and the hope for the humanity in our world to continue rising above all that wants to knock it down. Light outshines the dark. Humans are resilient and inspiring. And no matter what comes, we carry on.
