Sometimes my kids tell me about kids that don’t eat at lunch, so I make them take extra food in their lunchbox to give to their friends. My son came running in from night games the other night with a neighbor boy who had a bloody nose, “don’t worry, my mom buys a TON of bloody nose plugs, I can help you!” I carry extra gloves and bandaids and umbrellas and battery chargers in my bag and my husband and kids regularly tease me, “we know. you want to mother everyone.” I do! But that’s just cause mothering = love.
So whether you are a mom, have a mom, or (like me) just want to mother/love everyone around you, I think this weekend should celebrate all those good people out there who are taking care of everyone else. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE!
