Fathers Day part 4

Fathers Day round up part 4!

To my sons who always help me carry in the groceries, teach me everything about sports, call me “bruh” as a term of endearment and still give the best hugs to their mama. To my brothers who helped me grow up and are still helping me grow so much today—they are some of my best friends and make me laugh harder than most. To my brothers-in-law who keep serving me & my family, who are great uncles to my kids and who make my siblings so happy. To my uncles (especially the one who took me to the daddy-daughter-dance when my dad had a conflict) who have been back up father-figures all my life and such good role models. To my bosses who have taken care of me professionally and gone above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of personally on top of that. To the neighborhood men I grew up with who taught me so much (and my parents’ nextdoor neighbor who still calls me “kiddo” even in my 40’s). To my teachers, mentors and the many men I’ve learned from, thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences. To the men who have showed up to help fix my sprinklers, trim my trees, move my boxes, help with my cars and help with countless other projects over and over again throughout my life, thank you for your muscle, service and kindness. To my guy friends from high school who set such a good standard for me throughout college/my single years of what quality looks like so I never lowered my bar to less (and who are still some of my favorite friends). To my current neighbor who came all the way over from around the corner with his snowblower last year during a huge snowstorm and cleared our whole driveway when we were all so sick (even without really knowing us at the time). To my father-in-law, for every single time he shows up to keep cheering on his grandkids (and tease them that the Red Sox are better than the Cubs). To my dad, who still shows up for me over and over to listen to all my thoughts— the good and the hard— and be in my corner either way, cheering me on. To my husband, the best friend I’ve ever had and the best father I could’ve imagined for our kids, who is incredibly patient with all of our moods and who keeps pushing us to better places and believing we can get there (and thanks to him, we do). To the good men everywhere who take care of the people they love with dignity and integrity and make us all laugh with the endless dad jokes and remind us not to take ourselves too seriously…. THANK YOU. We wouldn’t be where we are without you. Happy Fathers day to all of you ❤️
