Thank you for inviting me to paint for you, it’s really an honor! I love to paint commissions and capture something special to you through paint. Because I want to ensure you get the very best piece of art at the end, I am highly selective about the commissions I accept. Peruse the gallery to see if your commission idea matches the style and subject matter of things I generally paint. I don’t do portraits—of people or pets, but I love to paint people as part of a scene, in natural poses (not smiling and looking right at the camera). I’m happy to keep talking through options with you until we find something we’re both happy with.

Size

These are the standard sizes I paint. I can order a custom panel to a different size, but it will add more time to the project. Sometimes it's helpful to measure the space where you want to hang the art (or use paper or painters tape to block in the shape) to get an idea for how big/small something really looks on the wall. I paint on cradled panels and wire the back, so they are ready to hang right on the wall (no framing necessary). The size of the art is the final size on the wall.

Time Frame

Commissions typically take at least twelve weeks. Do you have a deadline for this project? Is there a special event you're hoping to have it for? How much flexibility do you have for it to be completed? (a rush fee can be added if expedited timing is necessary)

Subject Matter

Tell me about your vision for this piece. Do you have a preconceived image of how your painting should look? Do you have a specific theme in mind? A feeling you want it to convey? A photograph?
