Thank you for inviting me to paint for you, it’s really an honor! I love to paint commissions and capture something special to you through paint. Because I want to ensure you get the very best piece of art at the end, I am highly selective about the commissions I accept. Peruse the gallery to see if your commission idea matches the style and subject matter of things I generally paint. I don’t do portraits—of people or pets, but I love to paint people as part of a scene, in natural poses (not smiling and looking right at the camera). I’m happy to keep talking through options with you until we find something we’re both happy with.

Use the form below to give me an idea of what you're looking for and I'll respond with a quote and estimated time frame (typically at least eight weeks). I paint from photos, so please email the one you have in mind to

I look forward to helping your story come to life and become a treasure for you and your loved ones for years to come!

Where are you located (city/state or zip) so I can calculate tax and shipping costs in your quote?
Do you have a preference on which direction your painting hangs?
These are the standard sizes I paint. I can order a custom panel to a different size, but it will add more time to the project. Sometimes it's helpful to measure the space where you want to hang the art (or use paper to block in the shape) to get an idea for how big/small something really looks on the wall. I paint on cradled panels and wire the back, so they are ready to hang right on the wall (no framing necessary). The size of the art is the final size on the wall.
Commissions typically take at least 8 weeks. Do you have a deadline for this project? Is there a special event you're hoping to have it for? How much flexibility do you have for it to be completed?
Tell me about your vision for this piece. Do you have a preconceived image of how your painting should look? Do you have a specific theme in mind? A feeling you want it to convey? A photograph? Please give descriptions and examples. (If you have a photo, you can email it to me at
