Feed the Meter

["Feed the Meter" 12x12, available at Art Access on 9/16!]  Lately, I've been so drawn to city paintings with tons of details. The drawings can get so intricate, but it's a fun challenge to mix and paint all those little puzzle pieces of color. I get to make all kinds of decisions about which colors to make really saturated so they come forward, and which ones to tint gray so they fall back. It's such a game to put in enough detail in some places, and then leave others really raw and mysterious. This one was really fun to work on. Not to mention, I kind of have a crush on this cute old man trying to figure out the parking meter... 😍😂
