Michigan Ave
["Michigan Ave" 9x12, available at Art Access until 10/14!] I remember standing on Michigan Avenue in Chicago and feelin so swept up in the energy of the city. We'd walk five feet and I'd stop again and try desperately to capture all the colors and the sound and the magic with my camera. I'd stand on a corner and overhear conversations and then the light would change, the people would all switch out and I'd be surrounded by brand new stories. I love that about a city. I love how much the people make a city by their own personalities and light and culture. I love the buses and cabs that become time capsules for all the different travelers they carry around all day... if the seats could talk, right? Standing in the middle of a busy city is always one of the places that I feel most alive and I love it.
