The Women We Walk Through Life With
["The Women You Walk Through Life With" 16x16, available at #artandsoup] Last night I celebrated Pi Day by getting pie with a bunch of friends in my neighborhood. We laughed hard and stayed up later than I usually do talking and empathizing and relaxing and listening. It was so refreshing. Wherever I've been in my life, I'm so grateful for the women who have walked next to me during it. It started early with sisters, mother, cousins and moved to friends, roommates, coworkers, neighbors, mother/sister-in-laws, book clubbers, playgroup moms, painting ladies, pta moms, relief society sisters, church presidencies, social media friends and on and on and on. Some have stayed this whole time, others have come and gone, but the support system has felt the same. They've cried with me and listened to me and troubleshooted problems with me and made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I honestly don't know how I would've made it this far in life without all the women I've leaned on to get here. They say it takes a village to raise a child (so true!) but I think it takes a village to keep teaching and helping and raising me as I try to keep growing forward. Thank you to every one of you that have been my girls and made me better. #sisters (also, I couldn't stop singing "havana oooh na na..." as I painted this)
