Enchanted Evenings

You know how when you’re with the person you love, you can be anywhere doing anything and it’s exciting? I remember when I was dating my husband and we were sitting in a movie theater one night. I remember his face being so close to mine when he’d lean over and tell me something, and how much I wanted him to keep leaning over. I remember the first time he put his hand on my knee and the way it made my heart pound in my chest. I put my hand on top of his and then he suavely maneuvered his until we were holding hands (HOLDING HANDS! cue all the butterflies!!). It didn’t matter that we were watching “Shrek 3” surrounded by a bunch of crazy kids on the back row of the theater. I actually don’t remember anything about the movie (thank goodness 🙄😆), but I remember how I felt, how excited I was to be sitting next to him holding his hand. Nowadays, it’s a lot of walking through Home Depot on date night or hanging out in our family room watching Netflix, but honestly I feel just as happy as I did then. Cause he still makes me laugh and he still holds my hand and when he leans his face over to tell me something, I still really want him to keep leaning over. Love ❤️.
