Business
The truth of running an art business is that there are days that have to be so much more business than art. Updating inventory, photographing new work, balancing the accounting, paying 3rd quarter taxes, updating the website, answering emails (so many emails), shipping out calendars, signing up for a marketing course, planning what my next priorities are, the list goes on and on... when I started this business I had no idea how much I’d have to learn about running a business. (Makes me want to sneak an MBA in during all my free time so I know what I’m doing 🤪). It’s a lot of work to be a one-woman company. But I’m grateful for how much I’ve learned along the way. I’m grateful to treat my work as a serious business, not just a side hobby, because it’s helped it grow more than I could’ve imagined. This month I’m hitting my seventh anniversary of being a small business owner and I’m so proud of how this baby has blossomed. Thank you to every one of you who has been along for the ride and kept this train chugging. I’m so excited for what it will become in the next seven years! ❤️❤️❤️
