Little cart

I have a little blue cart in my studio that holds a lot of my paint and paintbrushes and other tools. As I scroll through instagram, I see this same cart pop up in creative studios all over the world, sometimes white, sometimes green, sometimes gray. I know there are some people that roll their eyes that we all have the same furniture (and you can’t really be a trending creative without this rolling cart), but I feel something totally different. Every time I see it pop up, I feel such a kinship to my fellow creators out there. I feel like all of our carts are part of the same family and they live in our studios helping us do each of our creative work, whether it’s hauling around paintbrushes or plants for a garden or pottery tools or cooking supplies. Imagine if all these sibling carts got together at some family reunion, swapping stories of the messes they’ve helped make and the beautiful things they’ve witnessed. We might be different people, we might live in different countries, we might have different opinions on things, but together we are the makers. We create beauty in this world. And me and my little cart are happy to be part of the club.
