Value

Starting something new today… sometimes it’s a really good exercise when creating a new painting to see how much you can simplify the shapes. Where is the light and where is the shadow? Having strong values is really one of the most important things to a good painting. I think good composition and good values are my number one and two. Color and brush strokes and edges all add wonderful frosting on top, but if you don’t bake a good cake to start with, the rest isn’t going to work. #themoreyouknow🌈
