Tourists
I love the natural curiosity of being a tourist. I think we put on different personalities when we travel—we’re fascinated and teachable and hungry and willing to have adventures. We’re out of our comfort zones which invites innovation, we’re challenged to find different solutions in new places. We relax our schedules and expectations and find wonders we didn’t plan on as we wander. When we travel, we experience the world on foot, on bikes, on scooters, through train and plane windows, by boat—each with its own unique rhythm and pace.
I think shaking up the normal routine is so healthy, it refreshes and resets my soul. I come back both grateful for my life and also open-minded about how I can bring that tourist curiosity back to everything that’s so familiar. I think it’s one of the best things I can do to feed my creativity. What does traveling do for you?
