Bainbridge Island

I’ve been so busy this last little bit painting for a show in Bainbridge Island that opens this August! It’s been so fun to play with different city skylines and scenes.

I first visited Seattle in 2006, right after college. I got my degree in art but had given it up, thinking I was no good. I got an office job and traveled around the country, including to Seattle. I was so inspired by the city and found myself taking hundreds of photos I wanted to paint. Back then I didn’t have the skills to make my visions come true. It’s been so rewarding for me now, 16 years later, to actually pull all those photos out and paint these scenes.

We become what we put in the work to be, and I am feeling all those years of practicing pay off. Go get your dreams! Even the dormant ones that have been sleeping way back on a shelf, but you know are still there. No day but today ❤️❤️
