Make Marks
I like to start my studio time by picking a photo that inspired me recently and setting a timer for five minutes to see what I can capture. It’s never perfect, just full of loose, bold lines—the feeling and energy of a thing rather than a perfect capture of the thing.
Second slide is the photo that inspired me from my @nytimes morning email today. Don’t you love how happy this conductor looks? JOY.
Make marks. Make imperfect lines and shapes. Be bold. Capture the energy. Make a mess. Learn from your mistakes. Keep making more marks. ❤️✏️❤️
