Sometimes you go hiking with your friends. But sometimes you don’t cause you want to be in your studio painting instead, because sometimes you have different needs for your time or different social/fun percentages than your friends. But the thing about having great friends is that they’ll take perfect reference photos for you when they’re out hiking or skiing or mountain biking or wherever they are and send them back to you in your studio (you’re still included ❤️). And then make plans to meet you for lunch or breakfast or walks or overlapping times when you’re already at things with your kids and you can socialize there, cause your friends GET IT and are willing to fit into your world. And by the time you get to your 40’s, these are the friends that stick. These are the friends that are worth gold because you can all learn yourself, learn each other, learn what makes you all happy and let go of anything else. It’s all okay. We can just be who we are and I love them for it. And we’re super excited to start a pinochle group in our 80’s. #rideordie #iykyk
