A story, B story

#onmyeasel My 11 year old son came in my studio today and was analyzing everything I was painting. He especially liked this one I was working on. “You know what I like about this one, mom? You have the A story: lemons. Then you have the B story: cherries. And then the background just works really well to tie them all together.” He then proceeded to go around the studio and point out which paintings had A stories and B stories and why the ones with only A stories weren’t as interesting as the ones that had both. I freaking love the way his brain works ❤️🤯❤️
