Being brave

Somehow my little baby twin soccer girls grew into grown up teenage soccer women who are trying out for their high school soccer team this week and itโ€™s been stirring up alllll the emotions in our house all summer (Inside Out 2 hit a little too close to home for all of us ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ). They have loved this sport since their shin guards were as big as their entire legs and I have grown to love and learn so much about it through their eyes โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ (sidebar: what if the ball to human ratio really matched these emojis? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚) Last night we watched a documentary on Simone Biles and even though sheโ€™s in a different sport, it was so inspiring to see how sheโ€™s taken care of herself and her mental health as well as her physical health and how even when things donโ€™t work out how we want we can keep rising up again and again in life. Iโ€™m grateful for powerful (female!) voices like hers for my daughters and me and all of us to look up to. And hereโ€™s to stretching and putting yourself out there to do brave things and reach for your dreams ๐Ÿ’ซ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป โค๏ธ
