Friday in the studio

Soooo many fun paintings all coming together all at the same time! Sometimes studio time feels like a dance as I leap from canvas to canvas, a little yellow ochre here and there little cobalt blue there, stand back, squint, dive in to the details, is it coming together? What does it still need? Is it too tight? Too lose? I love bold, graphic edges and lines. I love soft, lost edges and strokes that fade into the world around them. Which is right for this painting? Which will enhance the focal point story? How do I push the background back? And so it goes, and so it goes…
