Autumn Treasures
My husband and I like to go on walks and lately he's been endlessly patient as I stop over and over and crouch close to the gravel to take close up photos of different kinds of leaves. Maybe it's not the greatest for our heart rates, but boy is it great for my soul. I had this painting in mind and feel like a scientist out collecting studies, deep diving into different leaf shapes and classifications. Isn't autumn the greatest time of year? Don't all these brilliant colors everywhere just take your breath away? I was picking up my sons from piano yesterday and came around a corner and there in front of me was this whole scene of gorgeous golden trees with the sun flooding light through all the leaves and I was filled with awe. I have to stop myself every fall and remind myself, "its okay to just enjoy it with your eyes, steph, even if you didn't take a picture of it... pictures never do it all justice." Ha ha. It almost hurts my heart with how beautiful the world gets this time of year. I want to soak it all up and just hold on before winter comes. So whatever your day holds, I hope you find a beautiful moment just for you and you get a chance to savor it too. 🍁🍂
